Images of your case study are available for download here. When your images become available, usually within an hour of the exam, we will notify you by email and provide you with the key to your folder of images. Entering your key in the form above will bring you to a web page that contains a list of links to your study's images. In addition to still images, your study may include 2 second motion clips. To save an image on your computer, right click it's link and choose "Save Target As...". If you are using Mozilla Firefox, choose "Save Link As...". Still Images Still image files will be in .jpg format. These images are compressed but still preserve a high degree of detail. By default, Windows will open these with the "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer", the "Windows Photo Editor" or a web browser, depending on your configuration. This provides a simple view that does not offer much in the way of image adjustment. If you want to adjust the brightness, contrast, etc. of an image, we recommend using a quality image tool such as Adobe Photoshop or The Gimp. These allow the image to be altered in it's original format. These programs do not come with Windows. Photoshop must be purchased, but The Gimp is a free, open-souce program that is equal to Photoshop in every way. The "Paint" program included with your version of Windows may or may not accept .jpg files and does not support image adjustments. Alternatively, at the expense of losing a small amount of detail, the image may be converted and adjusted with the "Windows Photo Editor". This program is free in that it's included with Windows.
Motion Video Clips Video clips are provided in .avi format and open with the "Windows Media Player". This program includes controls for adjusting brightness, contrast, etc. Therefore, there should be no need to convert these files to another format. To enable the video controls in the Media Player, select "Video Settings" as shown below. |
